Sixteenths does not ask who you are, and it has no way of finding out. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics and no advertising. Your calculations, your tapes and your projects are written to your own device and are never sent to us.

1. The short version

The whole calculator runs on your device. It works with the network switched off, and in normal use it makes no network requests at all. We do not operate a server that holds your data, because there is no such server.

The one exception is buying the full unlock. That transaction is handled by Apple or Google, and we use a purchase-management service to tell your device what you are entitled to. That path is described in full in section 4. It carries an anonymous identifier and a receipt — not your name, your email or your calculations.

2. Who we are

Sixteenths is published by RipeSeed LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Delaware, United States ("RipeSeed", "we", "us").

For the purposes of the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation, RipeSeed LLC is the data controller for the limited processing described in this policy.

Questions about this policy — including any request to exercise a right under section 10 — go to sixteenths@ripeseed.io. That mailbox is monitored and is the fastest way to reach a person.

3. What stays on your device

The app saves your working to local storage on your phone or tablet, inside the app's own private storage area. Other apps cannot read it. We cannot read it. It contains:

• Your settings — theme, display resolution, units, chosen code ruleset
• Your projects, and the named tapes, saved solves and material lists inside them
• Any corrections you make to the built-in material constants
• The trial and entitlement state — the date the app first launched on this device, and what you have unlocked

None of this is transmitted anywhere. It is included in your device's normal encrypted backup if you have iCloud Backup or Google backup switched on; that backup is between you and Apple or Google, and is governed by their privacy policies, not this one.

When you export a tape, a cut list, a material list or a code report, the file is produced on your device and handed to the system share sheet. You choose where it goes. It does not pass through us.

4. What we receive

In ordinary use of the calculator: nothing at all.

When you buy the full unlock, or restore a previous purchase, the following happens. The payment itself is taken by Apple or Google — we never see your card, your billing address or your store account details.

That is the complete list. We receive no calculations, no project names, no client names, no addresses, no measurements and no exported documents — the app does not have code that sends them.

5. What we never do

• No accounts, no sign-up, no email address required — ever, including to restore a purchase
• No analytics or usage tracking of any kind
• No advertising, no ad networks and no advertising identifiers (no IDFA, no GAID)
• No third-party trackers, tags, pixels or software development kits for marketing
• No cross-app or cross-site tracking, and nothing that would require App Tracking Transparency consent
• No selling or sharing of personal information, under any definition, for any price
• No profiling and no automated decision-making
• No location collection. The app never asks for your location
• No access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or files outside its own storage

6. Third parties

These are all of them. There are no others.

If you choose to send us a support email, that email is handled by our email provider and we keep it only as long as it takes to resolve your question. See section 11.

7. Permissions

The app requests the smallest set of permissions it can. It never asks for camera, microphone, photos, contacts or location. Two of the Android entries below look heavier than they are, so they are spelled out.

8. This website

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from a third party. The fonts are served from this domain rather than from a font network, specifically so that visiting this page does not tell anyone else that you did.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server access logs — IP address, timestamp, the page requested and the browser's user-agent string — which are used for security and to keep the site running, and are discarded on the provider's own rolling schedule. We do not combine them with anything else, and we do not use them to build a profile of you.

9. Children

Sixteenths is a professional tool for the building trades. It is rated 4+ and contains nothing unsuitable, but it is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including anyone under 13 (or under 16 in the UK and EEA). Since the app collects no personal information from any user, there is none to delete — but if you believe a child has provided us with personal information some other way, write to us and we will remove it.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live you have rights over your personal information — to access it, correct it, delete it, port it, object to its processing, or withdraw consent. We are happy to honour all of them, and in almost every case the honest answer is that we hold nothing to act on.

If you are in the UK, EEA or Switzerland

Our lawful basis for the purchase processing in section 4 is the performance of a contract with you (Article 6(1)(b)) — you asked to buy the unlock, and it cannot be delivered or restored without it. We do not rely on legitimate interests for marketing, because we do none. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

If you are in California

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined by the CCPA as amended by the CPRA. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months. There is no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link on this site because there is nothing for it to switch off. Exercising any of your rights will never result in worse service or a different price.

Data we hold outside your device

Purchase records held by our purchase-management provider are keyed to an anonymous identifier. If you want them deleted, email us from any address with the approximate date and store of your purchase and we will locate and delete the record. Deleting it will end our ability to restore your unlock automatically, so we will say so before we do it.

International transfers

Our purchase-management provider processes data in the United States. Where that involves a transfer out of the UK or EEA, it takes place under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum.

11. Retention & deletion

• On your device: kept until you delete it in the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes all of it. We have no copy, so nothing survives on our side and there is nothing to request.
• Purchase records: kept for as long as the unlock is restorable, plus whatever period Apple, Google or tax law requires. These are anonymous.
• Support emails: kept while we resolve your question and for up to 12 months afterwards, so that a follow-up has context, then deleted.

12. Security

The strongest security measure here is structural: data that is never collected cannot be breached, and there is no central store of user data to attack. On your device, the app's storage is protected by the operating system's own app sandbox and by device encryption. All network traffic for purchases is encrypted in transit with TLS. This site is served over HTTPS only.

No system is perfect. If you find a security problem, please tell us at sixteenths@ripeseed.io before disclosing it publicly, and we will work with you.

13. Changes

If this policy changes we will update the effective date at the top and raise the version number. If a change is material — if we ever begin collecting something we do not collect today — we will say so prominently in the app before the change takes effect, and the previous version will remain available on request. We will not apply a materially different policy to information already collected without telling you.
